Brockhampton Primary School is part of The Black Pear Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust based in Worcestershire. The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees, which is the accountable body for all Trust schools. Each school has its own Local Governing Committee (LGC), operating within a clearly defined Scheme of Delegation.

The Local Governing Committee plays a key role in supporting the school and providing effective local governance. Its core responsibilities include:

• Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction in line with the Trust's vision.
• Holding school leaders to account for educational performance, attendance, behaviour and safeguarding.
• Overseeing engagement with pupils, parents, staff and the wider community.

The LGC appoints Link Governors for Safeguarding and Inclusion, providing strategic oversight of safeguarding arrangements, SEND provision, and the progress and outcomes of vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils.

The Committee meets four times each academic year. Governors also visit the school regularly and attend events, enabling them to develop a strong understanding of the quality of provision and the school's strengths and priorities, and to provide effective support and challenge.

Headteacher, Mrs Keren Finnegan’s term of office started on 01/09/2026. Mrs Finnegan is ex-officio due to her position of Headteacher at Brockhampton Primary School.

Inclusion Link Governor, Mrs Julia Annable’s current term of office started on29/09/2026 and will end on 28/09/2030), appointed by the Trust Board.

Safeguarding Link Governor, Mrs Marie Turner’s current term of office started on 21/06/2023 and will end on 20/06/2027, appointed by Parents.

Mrs Keeley Evans’ current term of office started on 01/10/2024 and will end on 30/09/2028, appointed by the Trust Board.
